Clearwater Beach Events 2026: Festivals, Holiday Celebrations & Things to Do This Fall

From stone crab dinners and live music to lanterns, lighted boats, and New Year’s Eve fireworks, discover Clearwater Beach’s top events from late October through December, and see why the Edge Hotel is the perfect home base. Even after summer, Clearwater Beach doesn’t slow down, and in many respects, the season gets even better.

From late October to New Year’s Eve, Clearwater offers fresh Florida seafood, waterfront concerts, arts and cultural events, holiday customs, and family-oriented activities. With pleasant fall weather, Gulf sunsets, and fewer reasons to spend your trip driving, Clearwater Beach is the perfect place to visit.

By staying at the Edge Hotel Clearwater Beach, you’ll be near all the action while still having a waterfront retreat to return to between events. With the beach, Clearwater Beach, and Pier 60 nearby, and downtown Clearwater attractions just a short ride away, you can plan a complete getaway around the season’s best events. During event season, Edge Hotel guests can enjoy special benefits such as free welcome drinks at Jimmy’s, the rooftop bar on the Edge, priority access to tickets for some local events, and seasonal packages that include reduced room rates and late checkouts. These extra advantages make your trip to the festival more memorable and convenient.

This is what you should schedule on your calendar for the remainder of 2026.

Why stay at the Edge Hotel during Clearwater’s festival season?

A weekend featuring several exciting events is all the more enjoyable when it is simple to get around.

Edge Hotel is situated near some of Clearwater’s main seasonal attractions, such as Pier 60, the Clearwater Beach Marina, Sand Key, and downtown Clearwater.

Afterward, slow down by enjoying Gulf views, using the two outdoor pools, or spending an evening at Jimmy’s on the Edge, the hotel’s rooftop bar. This makes it easy to turn a festival or concert into a complete Clearwater Beach getaway, not just an event you attend before heading home.

When the new day begins, have breakfast, check the daily schedule, and head out again.

October 23–24: Frenchy’s 42nd Annual Stone Crab Weekend

This event best captures the fall atmosphere at Clearwater Beach.

The 42nd Annual Frenchy’s Stone Crab Weekend will be held October 23-24, 2026, and will celebrate one of Florida’s favorite seasonal delicacies shortly after stone crab season starts.

The event features the Clearwater Beach Block Party at Frenchy’s Original Cafe and the Dunedin Backlot Bash, offering fresh stone crab claws from Florida, live music, food, drinks, and a laid-back local atmosphere.

Entry is free, making it easy to fit into a weekend visit to Clearwater Beach.

Tip for the Edge Hotel: Turn it into a full day. Spend the morning at the beach or pool, go to the festival in the afternoon, and return to the rooftop for sunset.

If you want stone crab claws, get there early, since availability and prices vary with the season’s catch.

November: Music, Art & Culture Take Over Clearwater

In November, the event calendar is one of the season’s most varied, featuring reggae on the waterfront, a full weekend of jazz, and a month-long regional arts festival.

Reggae Sound Splash Fest — November 15

On Sunday, 15th November, the Reggae Sound Splash Fest will take place at The BayCare Sound in Coachman Park.

The waterfront performance will feature The Wailers with Julian Junior Marvin, Third World, Inner Circle, and The Ska-Talites, giving downtown Clearwater an afternoon and evening display of reggae and ska.

The concert starts at 4 p.m., which means the event can easily be combined with a morning spent at the beach before traveling downtown to the show.

Suncoast Jazz Festival—November 20–22

Jazz enthusiasts should plan to attend the 36th Annual Suncoast Jazz Festival at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort the weekend of 20-22 November.

Over 75 live acts will take place in three indoor venues throughout the weekend, with music running continuously. Enjoy a wide variety of jazz styles, plus special festival experiences, all within a short distance of Clearwater Beach.

After the evening’s last set, head back to the Edge Hotel and have a drink at Jimmy’s on the Edge, with views of the Gulf.

Art Everywhere—November 1–December 6

For travelers who want to add culture to their beach holiday, Art Everywhere runs from November 1 to December 6 in St. Pete–Clearwater.

Over one month, the event brings together numerous artistic and cultural activities, such as live music, exhibitions, performances, installations, and interactive programs, across Pinellas County.

An Art Everywhere event may happen during your stay, even if you’re not there for a festival.

Thanksgiving Weekend on Clearwater Beach

Thanksgiving doesn’t mean you have to put off your beach vacation. At Clearwater Beach, you can spend the holiday differently: take a walk along the Gulf, spend the afternoon near Pier 60, arrange a waterfront Thanksgiving meal, and end the day watching an early Florida sunset. On Thursday, November 26, 2026, Thanksgiving Day will occur.

If you’d like to vary your usual holiday-at-home routine, keep an eye out for sightseeing and dining cruises at Clearwater Beach, as many offer special Thanksgiving sailings. As the holiday gets closer, local restaurants and resorts generally publish their Thanksgiving menus. Guests at the Edge Hotel can also expect special dining options throughout the holiday season, including festive Thanksgiving meals at our main restaurant and limited-time, event-themed menus. These exclusive options make it simple to celebrate right at the hotel and turn a holiday trip into a memorable culinary experience. Keep in mind that by late November, sunsets occur much earlier; if you plan to have dinner while watching the sun set over the Gulf, make sure to plan accordingly.

December: Clearwater’s Holiday Season Lights Up

December is the most photogenic month of the season. In Coachman Park, lanterns shine, boats decorate and fill Clearwater’s waterways, and Pier 60 gets ready for the new New Year’s Eve celebration.

Clearwater Illuminations: Lantern Festival & International Night Market — December 6

On December 6th, the Clearwater Illuminations: Lantern Festival & International Night Market will turn Coachman Park into a waterfront event showcasing art and international culture. The free event, which is inspired by Clearwater’s sister-city association with Nagano, Japan, includes a Japanese lantern display together with cultural performances, international food, artisan vendors, demonstrations, and hands-on lantern activities. The event is also the final celebration of Art Everywhere 2026.

For families, couples, and anyone looking for something more than a typical holiday event, the festival is one of December’s highlights. With lantern-making activities, cultural performances, and a festive atmosphere, it is particularly appealing to children and a wonderful option for families with kids.

Clearwater Holiday Lighted Boat Parade—December 12

Nothing in Florida holiday customs compares with seeing Christmas lights drift over the water.

The 52nd Annual Clearwater Yacht Club Holiday Lighted Boat Parade will start at 6 p.m. on Saturday, 12th December.

Decorated boats will circle Island Estates, pass Coachman Park, and proceed to Sand Key before arriving at the Clearwater Beach Marina.

You can watch the parade from the shore at no cost, and the marina is particularly convenient for Edge Hotel guests; find a spot by the water, enjoy the parade, then return to the hotel without turning the evening into a long drive.

More December Events to Add to Your Calendar

The December program in Clearwater goes well beyond the lantern and boat festivals; throughout the city, you can find seasonal events, concerts, and holiday performances depending on when you travel.

Upcoming highlights include holiday entertainment at various downtown Clearwater venues, such as the Bilheimer Capitol Theatre and Ruth Eckerd Hall.

Because event schedules can change, contact the organizer or venue when you’re putting together your itinerary.

New Year’s Eve: Sunset to Sparkle at Pier 60

In 2026, Clearwater Beach is introducing a new tradition to its New Year’s Eve events.

Clearwater Beach’s Sunset to Sparkle celebration on New Year’s Eve will take place Thursday, December 31, from 3 to 9:30 p.m. at Pier 60 Park.

The free, family-friendly celebration is organized to coincide with the last sunset at Clearwater Beach in 2026, featuring entertainment and activities before the fireworks display ends at 9 p.m. over Clearwater Beach.

For families and anyone who prefers to celebrate before midnight, the event is a particularly attractive way to end the year.

The Edge Hotel is also within walking distance of Pier 60, helping guests avoid one of the less enjoyable aspects of a large holiday celebration: finding parking.

Tips for Planning a Clearwater Beach Event Getaway

Book your stay early for popular weekends. We suggest that you reserve your rooms and dates at least three to six months in advance for busy weekends like the Suncoast Jazz Festival, the Holiday Lighted Boat Parade, and New Year’s Eve to secure your preferred accommodations. Because major festivals and holidays can drive up demand for Clearwater Beach accommodations, booking in advance helps you secure the best options and ensure a trouble-free trip.

Walk when you can. One advantage of staying on Clearwater Beach is reaching the beach, marina, Pier 60, and nearby dining without moving your car every few hours. Edge Hotel offers convenient on-site parking exclusively for guests, so you can leave your car safely at the hotel throughout your stay. Most major seasonal events and attractions are within easy walking distance or a quick trolley or rideshare away, so you can get around easily even if you don’t drive.

Plan around sunset. In November and December, sunset arrives much earlier than summer visitors may expect. Instead of seeing it as a drawback, include it in the itinerary: festival during the day, sunset by the Gulf, then dinner or evening entertainment.

Before you leave, make sure you’ve checked the event details. Schedules for outdoor events, entertainment programs, and other information may change. So, when you’re finalizing your arrangements, check with the event organizers for the latest information.

Leave some space in the itinerary. Not every hour needs an event. Some of the best Clearwater Beach moments happen between plans—a morning walk along the sand, an afternoon by the pool or a rooftop drink as the sun goes down.

Make Edge Hotel Your Home Base for Clearwater’s Fall & Holiday Events

There are plenty of reasons to plan another trip to Clearwater Beach in the last months of 2026, whether you’re interested in stone crab, reggae, jazz, lanterns, holiday boats, or New Year’s Eve fireworks. And when you stay at Edge Hotel Clearwater Beach, the trip doesn’t have to end when the festival does. Spend the day exploring, come back for Gulf views and pool time, catch the sunset from the rooftop, and wake up ready to do it all again.
